As a Virtual Series DV Engineer, you’ll establish trusting relationships with engineering teams, and be part of the Engineering Operations Organisation which is JLR’s centre of excellence for simulation and digital vehicle engineering.
The Virtual Series DV Engineer is responsible for generating, managing and delivering the virtual design verification plan and coordinating CAE model build activities which helps achieve the status of our luxury brand. The role also includes reporting technical status, presenting outcomes and making recommendations. You will be part of a collaborative, iterative and agile team of engineers helping to deliver best in class digital solutions to the business and its customers.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
• Engaging with the engineering and attribute assessment teams to plan and monitor virtual test delivery
• Ensure virtual assessments are completed to time and quality for report out at the key programme milestones
• Planning, organising and chairing key programme events and meetings, communicating status/outcomes at showcase and gateway events
• Management of all KPI Virtual Series metrics
• Running Agile vehicle reviews to highlight key successful outcomes, any incompatibilities for escalation to senior stakeholders
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Essential:
• Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas
• Analytical and problem-solving skills in approaching technical issue resolution
• Effective team player with strong interpersonal skills
• Experience of project management, planning and delivery is essential
• The candidate should be capable of expediting successful delivery through assertiveness, strong interpersonal skills, and negotiation with a wide range of multi-functional teams.
• The candidate should be highly driven, self-motivated and able to deliver under pressure with minimum supervision
• Proficient in using Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Desirable:
• Knowledge of whole vehicle automotive product design, requirements, attributes, and verification
• Knowledge of a range of CAD, CAE and other virtual assessment processes, methods and tools
• Experience of managing test plans with complex dependencies.
• Detailed knowledge with experience in the delivery phase using Agile methodologies and Scrum would be beneficial.
