Over the two year programme, you’ll work with cutting-edge technology and build your experience in anything from submarine and commercial marine projects to next-generation construction projects.
You’ll be responsible for maintaining the design intent of plant and equipment that supports refit and maintenance activities on the Royal Navy’s fleet of nuclear powered submarines. You will ensure that refuel/defuel activities can be undertaken safely and will design modifications to systems that maintain and control reactor plant temperature and chemistry while also keeping operators safe.
Metallurgy and Materials Engineering is integral to the Royal Navy’s fleet of submarines and warships. Over the course of two years, you will experience first-hand the breadth of activities required to support these vessels, working on complex, high-integrity engineering systems. You will investigate new technologies to make these activities more efficient and effective.
